| Regulations on HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control in Zhejiang Province Disseminated among Epidemic Prevention Staff in Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou City |

On March 4, a training workshop was conducted for epidemic prevention staff in Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou City. The HIV/AIDS Control Division of Xiaoshan District CDC gave a thematic lecture for more than 100 participants from the grassroots, with the title of "Wide Dissemination and Implementation of the Regulations on HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control in Zhejiang Province". Articles in the Regulations that closely related to HIV/AIDS response at the grassroots level were explained in details. Participants obtained a clear understanding of the purpose and significance of these articles as well as the roles and responsibilities of the grassroots township subdistrict committees and epidemic prevention settings. In addition, the 2008 HIV/AIDS strategic plan in Xiaoshan District and the newly signed Target Responsibility Document for Epidemic Prevention at the Grassroots level were referred to introduce the HIV/AIDS situation and HIV/AIDS activities in 2008 in Xiaoshan District.Arrangements for the dissemination of the Regulations, IEC among migrant workers, HIV testing for key target groups, promotion of VCT and behavioral interventions with high risk groups were also made.
To better implement the comprehensive HIV/AIDS response strategy, HIV/AIDS interventions programs targeting high risk groups will be expanded to townships in 2008 and incorporated into the annual target responsibility documents.
