On March 8, 2008, some woman experts from the Center of STD&AIDS Prevention and Control, Institute of Infectious Diseases, Hubei CDC, a provincial-level "Female Model in Excellent Performance" of Hubei Province, visited the AIDS mutual-help group in Junchuan Town, Suizhou City. 14 people participated in the event, including Dai Yuhai, Deputy Director of Hubei CDC and chairman of the labor union, Zhao Ganlan, vice chairperson of the local labor union and director of women’s labor committee, Zhan Xianfa, director of the Institute of Infectious Diseases, and certain members of the local labor union, as well as some officials from Suizhou City Women's Federation, Labor Union and health authorities.
The experts visited AIDS patients in Junchuan Town, providing them with gifts and the manuals Households Animal Husbandry developed under the support of the Global Fund AIDS Program. They chatted with the AIDS patients, recognizing their courage in fighting against AIDS and in building pig farms. They also showed their concerns on treatment program of the patients. Subsequently, they visited the "Warm House" of AIDS patients inside the health center of Junchuan Town. In the evening, the visitors participated in recreational activities with people from the HIV/AIDS prevention and control center in Suizhou City and some representatives of AIDS patients.
